You’ll receive a customer welcome pack and offer letter, which include helpful information about:

  • How to contact us

  • Ways to pay your rent and charges

  • Support and advice available to you

  • Utilities and energy information

  • Safety in your home

  • How to get involved and have your say

  • Answers to common questions

These documents are important, so please keep them somewhere safe and take time to familiarise yourself with them.

Important documents

Along with your welcome pack, you’ll also receive:

  • Your handover certificate, which includes your meter readings

  • A Green Energy Switch Welcome Pack with details about your energy supply

  • A copy of our Lettable Standard, explains the condition your home will be in when you move in, safe, clean and ready to live in.

Please check your meter readings before contacting British Gas to set up your energy account. This will help make sure your bills are accurate from the start.

Manage your home online with MyMagenta

MyMagenta is our customer portal and the easiest way to manage your account. With MyMagenta, you can:

  • Report non‑emergency repairs

  • Book repair appointments at a time that suits you

  • Check your rent balance

  • Make rent payments

  • Stay up to date with your Magenta account

If you’re not registered yet, it’s quick and easy to set up. You’ll need:

  • An active email address

  • Your tenancy reference

  • Your payment reference

You can find these on recent information we’ve sent you, or we can provide them if needed.

About the CORE questionnaire

As part of the sign‑up process, we complete the CORE questionnaire on your behalf. This is a requirement of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). You can read the MHCLG privacy notice online.
