Ways to pay

There are lots of ways to pay your rent, so you can set up a system that works for you.

If you can, using the Customer Online Portal, MyMagenta, is the quickest and easiest way to manage your rent. You can check your account and make payments anytime, without needing to travel or wait in a queue.

Most customers choose Direct Debit because it’s easy, safe and helps you stay on track with your rent.

A Direct Debit is a payment that comes straight from your bank account. You can choose the date and how often you pay.

You can set up and manage your Direct Debit yourself online using the My Magenta portal. This means you can do it at a time that suits you, without needing to phone us.

Paying your rent on time is important. It helps you keep your home and gives you peace of mind.

If you use online banking, you can pay your rent straight from your bank account.

You will need your payment reference number.

You can pay your rent by calling our Income Team.
They are here to help and will guide you through your payment.

Call us on 0808 100 9596, press option 1 and it will take you to an automated payment line, you will need your allpay reference to hand.

You can pay your rent in person using cash or card.

You can do this at any Post Office or anywhere you see the PayPoint sign.
To pay this way, you will need a Magenta Living Swipe Card. Just show it to the cashier and they will help you make your payment.

If you miss a rent payment, contact us straight away. Our team can work with you to agree a payment plan that feels manageable. If rent is not paid and we do not hear from you, we may have to take legal action, including asking the court for possession of your home. We always want to avoid this and will do everything we can to help you stay in your home.
