Our approach to governance supports our purpose, vision and values, helping us provide safe homes, reliable services and positive experiences. It guides how decisions are made, how we use our money responsibly, and how we stay open and accountable to the people who live in our homes.

We have regular planned meetings with the full Board, Customer and Committees. Committees include Audit & Risk; People, Culture & Change; Assets & Development and Magenta Customer & Communities, to ensure good governance is achieved.

We are regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing which sets out the regulatory standards we are expected to comply with.

These include:

Governance Structure

Our governance structure sets out how Magenta Living is led and how decisions are made.
It shows how our Board, committees and leadership teams work together to make sure we are well run, use our money responsibly, and stay focused on providing safe homes, reliable services and positive experiences for customers and communities.

NHF Code of Governance

We have adopted the National Housing Federation's (NHF) Code of Conduct and Excellence in Governance. We regularly assess compliance with these standards, and publish the outcomes in our annual reports. The 2020 Code of Governance was written by the National Housing Federation (NHF). The code helps housing associations follow best practices in how they are run and make decisions.
