Housing associations across the UK are reviewing their Code of Conduct - and you’re invited to have your say.
The National Housing Federation (NHF) is carrying out a review of its Code of Conduct, which sets the standards expected of everyone who works for, or represents, housing associations. This includes staff, board members, and customers involved in shaping services.
Originally updated in 2022, the Code is now being reviewed to ensure it reflects changes in the regulatory environment and continues to promote the right behaviours, culture and accountability across the sector.
Why your feedback matters
At Magenta Living, we know how important it is that customers have a voice. This review is an opportunity to help shape how housing organisations work and make decisions in the future.
The NHF is keen to hear from customers, alongside staff and board members, to make sure the updated Code reflects real experiences and expectations.
Have your say
A short survey has been launched to gather feedback on:
How clear and easy to understand the current Code of Conduct is
Whether it sets the right expectations for behaviour and accountability
What should be prioritised in the updated version
The survey only takes a few minutes to complete, but your input will help influence how housing associations operate going forward.
Take part
We encourage all Magenta Living customers to get involved and share their views.
Deadline: Wednesday 27th May 2026

What happens next?
Your feedback will help shape an updated Code of Conduct, which is expected to be published this summer. Housing associations will then review and adopt the updated guidance ahead of new requirements coming into effect in October 2026.
