We're proud to sponsor Woodchurch Juniors FC, supporting grassroots football in our local communities. The sponsorship will provide warm-up jackets and t-shirts for the club’s new men’s open-age team, which is central to the club’s long-term vision, giving younger players visible role models and a team they can support and aspire to represent.
Founded in 2022, Woodchurch Juniors FC have provided football opportunities for boys and girls aged 5 to 18 from Woodchurch and across Wirral. In four seasons, it has grown from four teams and 30 registered players to 32 teams and 414 players. This growth has included the men’s open-age team who compete in the West Cheshire League Third Division. Beyond weekend match results, the club brings together players, parents, volunteers and local partners to create positive opportunities, build community pride and help young people see a positive future for themselves.
John Eccles, Chairman and Co-Founder of Woodchurch Juniors FC, said: “Magenta Living’s support means a great deal to everyone at Woodchurch Juniors FC. Their sponsorship of our men’s team provides more than warm-up jackets and T-shirts — it helps us create visible role models for every child in our club”.
“Our men’s team is the goal we want our young players to aspire to: a team they can look up to, support and one day hope to play for themselves. Our ambition goes beyond football — we want to help children grow into confident, respectful and positive young people. We are grateful that Magenta is investing in that pathway and helping us build a safer, more respectful future through football.”
The initiative forms part of a wider community vision being developed by the club, the Carrbridge Centre and Feeding Woodchurch Together, linking grassroots football with education pathways, health and wellbeing activities, volunteering and improved local facilities for children, families and residents.
Andy Lomas, Magenta's Chief Executive, said: “We're delighted to support positive community ventures like Woodchurch Juniors in this way. It's great to see opportunities created for families living on the Woodchurch Estate. Magenta is investing in the future, not just properties, but people too.”
