Team spirit, friendly competition and fundraising were at the heart of Magenta Living's World Cup celebrations this summer. A dedicated team of colleagues volunteered their time to organise and run a series of World Cup-themed activities, bringing people together to support The Martin Gallier Project, a suicide prevention charity based in the North West. Together, colleagues raised £239 while creating opportunities to connect, have fun and support an important cause.
Testing Football Skills
The Keepy-Uppy Challenge and Beat the Keeper Challenge gave colleagues the chance to put their football skills to the test while enjoying some friendly competition. With Wayne Cole, Chief Property and Investment Officer, and Carl Edwards, Director of Asset Management, taking turns in goal, the events created a great atmosphere and helped raise donations for The Martin Gallier Project.
Decorations, Food and Team Spirit
The Score Your Decor competition saw teams transform their workspaces to represent countries drawn at random from the tournament, bringing colour and creativity to offices across Magenta. The celebrations concluded with a World Cup-themed Come Dine with Me, where colleagues shared international dishes inspired by participating nations, bringing flavours from around the world to Magenta.
Together, the events showcased the creativity, enthusiasm and team spirit that made the World Cup celebrations such a success, with decorated workspaces, international-inspired dishes and plenty of opportunities for colleagues to connect and celebrate throughout the tournament.
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who organised, supported and took part in the World Cup celebrations. From planning activities and decorating workspaces to sharing food and taking on the goalkeepers, people across Magenta helped make the tournament one to remember, while supporting The Martin Gallier Project and its vital work across the North West.
