Young people from Woodchurch recently took part in the first Future Trailblazers event, exploring digital skills, online safety and artificial intelligence through a fun, age-appropriate activities, as part of the Carrbridge Centre Summer Club Programme.
Future Trailblazers, created by Salesforce and adapted by Magenta Living, is designed to help young people develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
The event took place at Carrbridge Community Centre on Carr Bridge Road. Around 60 local children aged between five and ten participated across three sessions, taking part in activities that helped build AI literacy, develop digital skills and confidence, and strengthen their understanding of online safety.
Magenta Living’s CEO Andy Lomas and CFO Paul McGrady attended the morning session, joining children as they explored how technology is shaping the world around them and how digital skills can help open up future opportunities.

The sessions were met with an enthusiastic response from the children, with positive feedback highlighting the value of bringing engaging and accessible experiences into the heart of the community.

Future Trailblazers supports the UK Government’s ambition to help 10 million people develop AI skills by 2030 by bringing together industry expertise and community partnerships to build confidence and understanding from an early age.
