When you're ready to move on from your Magenta Living home, we're here to make things as simple and stress free as possible. Ending a tenancy is just as important as starting one, and you won't be doing it alone.
Once you let us know you want to end your tenancy, we'll work with you throughout your notice period.
We'll:
Arrange a property inspection so we can better understand the condition of the home being returned to us
Talk with you about your situation and what matters to you
Explain what needs to happen before you hand back your keys
Offer advice and support throughout your notice period
You must give us the correct notice, as set out in your tenancy agreement, but we're here to guide you through what this means.
If at any point you're unsure about something, please get in touch and we'd be happy to help.
How to end your tenancy
Give your notice
To end your tenancy, you need to give us notice. Your tenancy agreement explains the notice period you must give, which is usually 4 weeks. If you're not sure what applies to you, just ask and we'll talk it through with you.
You can complete the Notice to Terminate form on this page or contact us to request one.
Property inspection
We'll arrange a visit to your home during your notice period. This is a friendly check in where we:
Look at the condition of your home to help support you in preparing the property to be returned to us
Answer any questions you have
Talk about any help you may need
Before you move out
We'll support you to leave the property in the right condition. This usually includes:
Removing all your belongings
Leaving the home clean and tidy
Repairing any damage that isn't fair wear and tear
Returning all keys (including window keys and fobs)
Handing in your keys
You can bring your keys to our office, or in some cases we may be able to collect them from you if that's easier. We want the process to work around you.
