Magenta Living Christmas roadshows

presentation

Magenta Living has been out and about in their neighbourhoods spreading Christmas cheer, singing loud for all to hear!

Santa and the elves in the Grotto During December, the Magenta Living team has visited some of their neighbourhoods and invited customers and their children to visit Santa and the elves at their Merry Magenta Christmas Grotto.

Volunteers also visited over 500 properties to check on their customers and to offer support and advice, if needed at this often-challenging time of year.

The team was out in all weathers and visited neighbourhoods in Bebington, Birkenhead and Prenton, welcoming lots of customers.  Many very excited children had the opportunity to meet Santa and have their photos taken.  The Magenta elves gave away 300 selection boxes and over 400 goody bags which included not only useful information for customers but a pack of festive mince pies.

Magenta Living’s Community Regeneration Manager, Adam Woodcock, said:

“We know the festive period can be a challenge for some of our customers, so we wanted to get out in the community and show that we are here to help. The children really loved meeting Santa in his fabulous grotto right on their doorstep.”

A rainy day at the Grotto but people were still queuing down the street and in good spirits! The response from customers to the roadshows was excellent and lots of customers came along – even when it was raining and cold!  Everyone had the Christmas spirit and there was a queue down the street waiting to see Santa!

One of the parents said it was lovely to see Santa and friendly Magenta staff during their dark and wet walk home from school.

Wendy Gooley, a Magenta customer and Chair of the Magenta Communities Committee, said:

“Happy Magenta Christmas.  Santa was amazing along with all the elves and helpers, what amazing events!  So happy to have the opportunity to be part of it.  I love what Magenta does for its communities - the community regeneration team smashed it.”
