Five Star Food, Hartley Place bistro receives highest hygiene rating
Residents at Hartley Place have had a week full of celebration, great food, and plenty of community spirit. The much-loved Mort's Munchies bistro has once again been awarded the highest rating of 5 by the Food Standards Agency. This top hygiene score reflects the hard work, dedication and professionalism of Mitzie and the whole bistro team who take pride in serving fresh, delicious meals. Residents often describe the bistro as the heart of Hartley Place, and it is easy to see why. It is a warm and welcoming space where people catch up, make new friends and enjoy meals that feel like home.

Alongside the success of the bistro, residents enjoyed a fantastic evening of entertainment. Performer Mark Whitby returned to the scheme with a set list packed with favourites from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The atmosphere was lively and full of laughter, whether people were singing along to La Bamba or Sweet Caroline or enjoying the fun of silly hats and maracas handed out during the show. One resident even stole the spotlight dressed as a squid, adding to the fun of the night.

To make the occasion even more special, the bistro stayed open late, serving hot dogs, ice cream, and drinks so residents could relax and enjoy themselves long into the evening. This combination of great food, lively entertainment and genuine friendship shows exactly what life at Hartley Place is all about.
Hartley Place continues to be a vibrant and supportive Extra Care community where residents can enjoy independence alongside opportunities to socialise, try new things and feel connected. From top notch meals to evenings filled with music and laughter, Hartley Place is a place where people truly feel at home.
