Inspiring and empowering our customers

Magenta Living continues to support and empower customers through opportunities to develop new skills.

Inspiring Dreams is a motivational programme aimed at supporting customers to develop the skills and knowledge they need to take the next step in life.

Working in partnership with 3D Training and Underground Training Station, the latest group, who completed the course in September, developed teamwork and communication skills, picked up health and wellbeing tips including healthy recipes, explored what inspires them and boosted their confidence as well as making new friends.

One attendee, Jackie, had been feeling very low before the course but even by the end of the first week was feeling more optimistic, sitting taller and felt more confident speaking in the group setting. She said:

“I really appreciate everything you have done for us, I’ve had such a great time and learned so much and I don’t want it to end.”

The next course will be returning on 30 January 2024 and registration is open now! To register your interest and secure your place go to www.magentaconnect.org.uk or call 0808 100 9596 and we’ll get you booked on.

Andy Lomas, Executive Director of Customers and Communities at Magenta Living, said:

“We are not a just landlord, we want to empower our customers to develop their skills and we have an active community regeneration programme working with our customers and partners to make our communities full of life and great places to live.”

In addition to Inspiring Dreams, we also work with MyMCT - a local social enterprise helping disadvantaged young people across the region to find their career aspirations.  We recently welcomed a group of young people to our offices in Birkenhead to introduce them to the many career opportunities there are in Housing.

The visit by MyMCT was a huge success and Kevin Rodgers, Chief Executive Officer said:

“This collaboration between MyMCT and Magenta Living showcases the power of partnerships in nurturing growth and exploration. Together, we're opening doors to exciting opportunities and paving the way for future successes.”

If you’re 16-24 and claiming Universal Credit, or know someone who is, then the support from MyMCT can help them take their first steps towards their future.
