Magenta high-rise building awarded for ‘very high’ standard of safety

Magenta is proud to announce that Sunningdale, one of our eight high-rise buildings in Wirral, has been awarded a Building Assessment Certificate from the Building Safety Regulator (BSR). This recognition highlights Sunningdale's exceptional safety standards, making it the first building in the Merseyside region to achieve this milestone.

The Building Safety Act 2022, introduced in response to the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy, aims to reform building safety legislation. The BSR oversees the safety and performance of all buildings, with a special focus on high-rise structures. This achievement is particularly significant as it is one of only a handful of high-rise buildings in the UK to receive this important certification.

Wayne Cole, Magenta's Chief Compliance & Sustainability Officer, said: At Magenta, safety is our top priority, and we are delighted to share this recognition of our commitment to keeping our customers safe in their homes. For our customers, this means peace of mind and assurance. A Building Assessment Certificate confirms that a high-rise building, such as Sunningdale, meets its legal duties under the Building Safety Act 2022, ensuring risks of fire and structural failure are properly managed.

A key part of this achievement is our robust 'resident engagement strategy', ensuring that customer's voices are heard and valued in decision-making. Through open lines of communication, regular updates, and a commitment to transparency, we continue to place residents at the heart of its work.
