Stamp Out Damp: Keeping Your Home Safe and Healthy

Introducing Stamp Out Damp, a new campaign to protect you from the risks of damp and mould and to meet the requirements of Awaab's Law, which comes into effect on Monday, 27 October 2025.
But this isn't just about following the law; it's about doing the right thing. We're committed to creating safe, warm, and healthy homes for all our customers.
What's Changing with Awaab's Law?
Awaab's Law sets clear rules for how quickly social landlords must respond to health hazards in homes:
- Emergency hazards (like serious leaks or unsafe living conditions): Investigated within 24 hours, with immediate action taken.
- Significant hazards (like damp, mould, or heating issues): Investigated within 10 working days, with findings shared within 3 days, and repairs completed within 5 days.
If repairs can't be completed in time, alternative accommodation must be provided.
What Stamp Out Damp Means for You
We're taking a proactive approach to help you stay safe and informed. Our campaign will:
- Share tips to prevent damp and mould before it starts.
- Encourage you to report issues early-even small ones like condensation or faulty heating.
- Show how we're meeting the new legal standards.
- Provide extra support for vulnerable customers.
