Welcoming Sean Yewdale as Chair of MCCC and Customer Board Member

At Magenta Living, customers have always been at the heart of our decisions. We're proud to build on that commitment by welcoming Sean Yewdale as the newest member of our Board and as Chair of the Magenta Customer and Communities Committee (MCCC).

As a Magenta customer, Sean brings lived experience, insight and a strong commitment to making things better for others. His appointment followed an inclusive recruitment process designed to attract a diverse range of candidates. We wanted to make sure everyone had the opportunity to apply, and that we found someone who truly understands what matters to our customers.

So what do these roles involve?

The Board helps guide Magenta's big decisions. It makes sure we're well-run, financially sound and focused on what matters most - the people who live in our homes. Board members look at performance, risk and strategy, and make sure we're doing the right thing for customers, colleagues and communities.

MCCC is all about customer voice. It's a group that looks closely at how we deliver services, involve customers and support communities. It includes both Board members and customers, and helps make sure we're listening, learning and improving.

Ged Lucas, Chair of Magenta Living Board, said: "We are delighted to welcome Sean into these two important roles. Having a customer in this role is a powerful step forward in our commitment to transparency and accountability. Sean's perspective will help us make better decisions and stay focused on what really matters - the people we serve."

Sean Yewdale added: "I'm proud to be stepping into these roles. It's a chance to make sure customers' voices are heard where it matters most. I want to help shape services that work for real people, and make sure Magenta keeps listening and learning."
