Magenta Living purchases ‘low carbon’ homes in New Ferry, Wirral
Magenta Living, Wirral’s largest affordable housing provider, has purchased three low carbon homes at Windsor Close, New Ferry, Wirral from Property Development Group, Starship.
The 3-bedroom homes will provide a state-of-the-art home living experience for those wanting to reduce their carbon footprint. The high thermal performance homes are Energy Efficient Rating (EPC) Band A, the highest energy efficiency rating achieved within a property.
The homes come complete with solar panels on the roof. Heating and hot water is provided by an air source heat pump meaning there is no gas central heating which will ultimately result in reduced energy bills and a reduced environmental and carbon impact when compared to traditional house builds.

The Starship approach to Modern Methods of Construction has resulted in a development that has solar panels and air source heat pump along with high thermal efficiency meaning these new homes have a reduced carbon footprint compared to traditional homes – saving the planet and saving customers’ money on their heating bills. The fact the development is in New Ferry is a great contribution to the local community.
